The Royal Danish Library in Aarhus wins RENOVER prisen

18 November 2020

We are proud to announce that our project, the Royal Danish Library in Aarhus, won the Danish award, RENOVER prisen, for best Danish renovation project 2020!

The jury highlighted how the renovation of the library has created a space with rich visual experiences with an inviting atmosphere, while respecting the existing qualities, and how it has become a new social meeting place where the students can meet new friends and exchange views.

"Receiving RENOVER Prisen is a great tribute to both the architecture and the trust, openness, and will that has characterized this fantastic teamwork,” says Anna Kathrine Bisgaard Sørensen, Creative Manager and Architect at Arkitema.

Achieving the award wouldn't have been possible without our great collaboration with Enemærke & Petersen a/s, MOE Denmark, WO Interior A/S, ERCO, Deichmann Planter ApS, Kvadrat, Ry Pool Vandteknik, Skulpturstøberiet Svendborg, EL:CON and Åbyhøj VVS.
